Lex Barker plays Sandrigo Bembo, son of the Doge of Venice, who comes to fall by a conspiracy planted by the Grand Inquisitor (played by Guy Madison), so he can steal Bembo's fiancee (Alessandra Panaro). However, Bembo manages to escape the prison, and the whetted steel clashes continuously, as he faces innumerable perils - all in 16th century Venice.
